MANAGING THE FOUR PATTERNS OF GENDER BIAS

Based on the work of Joan C. Williams and Rachel Dempsey, this talk will discuss the major four patterns of gender bias faced by females in the work place: the Prove-It-Again! Bias, the Tightrope Bias, the Maternal Wall, and the Tug of War. Listeners will also learn strategies to effectively manage these biases, given from both personal experience and researched approaches.
