Microsoft Teams is the powerful new collaboration tool in Office 365. It offers a number of overlapping features to SharePoint and even uses SharePoint as part of it technical fabric. In this talk, we will discuss the considerations for what Microsoft Teams is, how it compares to SharePoint, and the technical considerations for deploying and extending Teams.
Richard is a Principal Software Engineer at Microsoft, where he helps developers and software vendors maximize their use of Microsoft cloud services in Office 365 and Azure. Richard has spent a good portion of the last decade architecting Office-centric solutions, many that span Microsoft’s diverse technology portfolio. He is a passionate technology evangelist and a frequent speaker at worldwide conferences, trainings and events. Although Richard is on a Redmond-based team, he is a life-long Texan that recently relocated to Austin from Dallas.
