Abstract:
Visual Studio provides some exceptional tools for performance testing, particularly in relation to Web Performance and Web Service Performance. Even better, you can use Azure to run your tests! This session will provide you with an overview of the tools available to you, and some best practices based on projects I’ve been working on, and what has worked out best for our team. Some of the topics that will be covered include:
- Recorded Web Tests
- Coded Web Tests
- Web Service Tests
- Setting up a test environment
- Testing using Azure as the environment

Joseph Reynolds
2 RecordingsJoseph earned his Master of Science in Information Technology, with a focus in Software Architecture from Capella University in 2009.
Joseph provides expertise in database design and development, reporting, computer and applications support, and applications documentation. Recent projects include web applications using the latest Microsoft development technologies: .NET 4.0, T-SQL, WPF, Silverlight etc. Recent applications include data-driven web applications, mail list maintenance applications, and reporting / statement development for bulk mail applications.
With a Bachelor in Psychology, a Master’s in IT, and graduate work in Technical Communications, Joe offers a unique variety of C# and app development expertise with the CODE framework. He is an organizer and speaker at Houston area .Net user groups, and is a member of the Lonestar College IT Advisory Board. When not working in the office or at home, he can generally be found at St Jonah Orthodox Church, or rolling dice with his various gaming friends.
Joseph has been honoured with the Microsoft MVP Award in 2013-2014.
