A ground-floor introduction to SQL Server permissions starting with the basics and moving into the security implications behinds stored procedures, views, database ownership, application connections, consolidated databases, application roles and more. This class is perfect for DBA’s, developers and system admins.

Bio:

William Assaf, MCSE, is a principal consultant and DBA Manager at Sparkhound in Baton Rouge, LA. He started off as a .NET developer out of college and moved into database administration and architecture, and has been lead db designer on major application and data warehousing projects for private and public clients. A SQL Server consultant since 2007, he blogs about SQL at sqltact.com. William is a past president of the Baton Rouge SQL UG and head of the annual SQLSaturday Baton Rouge Planning Committee, where we hope to see you in August.

    Quick correct! Around 31 minute, I say you can GRANT GRANT, this obviously isn’t correct, I misspoke that part.
